About Us

Coal City Cob's Rail-to-Truck bulk transfer operation is a "spot on demand" rail yard switched exclusively by the Union Pacific Railroad. We own and operate a Shuttle Wagon for daily, in-yard switching. We also have a 75-foot certified scale, and can use steam to heat 50% of the rail spots. Our NSF-certified rail yard has the capacity for 85 rail cars, and accepts both hazardous and non-hazardous materials.

Located on the North-bound service road of Interstate 35, we are centrally-located to the Dallas/Fort Worth market. Our main highway access offers easy access to carriers entering or exiting the DFW area from any direction, and helps minimize delays and congestions.

Spill Containment

We have the only concrete paved, spill-contained bulk transfer operation in North Texas. The entire containment network can handle a spill of up to 900,000 gallons.

Access to the property is strictly controlled, and is monitored via internal and external closed-circuit TV. Strategically located industrial lighting completely illuminates all facilities, parking and staging areas. The external perimeter of the property (including the UP spur access gate), is enclosed by security fencing.

We strive to exceed our customers' expectations at every turn. In addition to providing an unsurpassed level of performance, we support our customers with a comprehensive, end-to-end spectrum of maintenance and administrative services.
