As a partner in the American Chemical Council's Responsible Care Initiative, Coal City Cob is committed to programs that involve and safeguard the community.

Coal City Cob is currently supporting two programs at its 28-acre full-service facility.

Point of Dispensing Program for Ellis County Emergency Management
This program enhances the County's capacity to deliver medicines and medical supplies during a large-scale public health emergency. The company's new 48,000 square foot fleet maintenance facility and surrounding 5 acres of concrete-paved parking will be available to Ellis County Emergency Management to respond to a large-scale bioterrorist or naturally-occurring outbreak by dispensing antibiotics or vaccines to the entire population of the county.

County-Wide Confined Space and Fire Department Training Facility
Fire departments from communities all over Ellis County now have one location to conduct both confined space and fire fighting techniques training involving rail car and tanker assets.
